About Me

I served commercial articles with a London bank and was admitted as a solicitor in January 1984. I practised initially in Knightsbridge before moving to a Surrey practice following which I have set up and run my own practice and been a partner in two other law firms. Having been on the opposite side from McPhersons in a legal matter, I was approached to join the firm which I did as an Associate in January 2006, before being appointed Consultant in January 2009.

Whilst I specialise in management, contract law, negotiation handling and the more complex areas of property law, I very much enjoy looking after the private client and am happy to offer a free preliminary consultation. Through my many years in the law, I have built up a considerable portfolio of contacts in other areas.

Having recently been a victim of clinical negligence I would be very interested to hear from anyone who has suffered the same experience with a view to giving free initial advice, putting them in touch with specialist legal and medical teams if necessary and most importantly, publicising the issue.

I have a link with Dorrington Matthee Consulting based in Cape Town, the members of which have extensive experience in, and a sound grasp of a wide range of legal, labour, compliance and governance issues and work with a number of South African companies that have their head offices in the UK. I have established and run a soup kitchen for the homeless and was on the Business Development Committee of another charity, the aim of which is to get the homeless off state support and back into work and mainline society.

My interests include music, politics, architecture, theology and various sports, the latter preferably water or air based.
